POSITIVE THINKING BEGINS IN THE MIND!

Positive thinking really works. It is important in determining the success of our future. That future begins every morning when we wake up. At that moment, we subconsciously make a decision as to whether we’ll have a positive or a negative attitude that day.

WE HAVE TO BE ON GUARD!

It’s harder to have a positive attitude. Because, in order to get that, we have to consciously guard what enters our minds. However, positive thinking really works and can improve our lives dramatically.

As I recently flew into Boston, for a speaking engagement, I noticed a fort in the harbor. As I later found out, this is Fort Independence. The fort’s picture above, from the web site theworldgeography.com, is of the oldest continuously fortified site of English origin in the United States. According to Wikipedia, “The first primitive fortification, called “The Castle”, was placed on the site in 1634.”

NEGATIVE THOUGHTS CAN BE DESTRUCTIVE!

Just as Fort Independence provided harbor defenses for Boston, we each need to defend our minds against negative thoughts. Negative thoughts can be destructive! Hence, it takes a real effort to focus on positive thoughts. That process begins by being careful with what we think and with whom we spend time.

Thus, the people around us are part of either The Building Crew or The Wrecking Crew. Spending more time with the first group and, as much as possible, staying away from the second, is really important.

In addition, it is said that we are the total sum of the five people we spend the most amount of time with on a regular basis. Thus, if those people are not at the level of success you desire, or on their way, then think twice about their impact on your life.

When it comes to positive thinking, the affirmation below may help to defend your mind against negative thoughts.
